Malfunction of Dominance, Id Est Malfunction of The Tie.

Image
Malfunction of Dominance  Mixed media: oil and  acrylic For sale on my website  This vibrant mixed-media artwork, rendered in oil and acrylics, is a deeply personal and visceral expression of my disillusioned outlook on the current state of humanity and the world. The work is richly textured, with tactile qualities and a dynamic interplay of colours that reflect a sense of unease and the conviction that immediate improvement is unlikely. The surface, alive with tactile brushstrokes and layers, embodies the weight of my feeling, suggesting a future where solutions remain elusive. The central piece, a prominent male tie, serves as a potent and intriguing symbol of perceived male dominance and its inherent flaws. The tie is black-based with spattered blue hues, added by me using alcohol ink. I integrated the tie into the composition. It might serve as a powerful motif, representing male dominance and its perceived shortcomings. This adds my deeply personal and critica...

A process of creating an acrylic painting by Kasia B.Turajczyk

It is an old video I took while creating a painting about a magnolia tree from the garden. It happened in the beautiful garden of Lyalls Cottage in Dunchideock. The whole place was like a magical creation by a master creator. That is art per excellent.

Mémoires from the East part of Scotland - Forgotten Valley.

Image
Title: still needs to decide.  Mémoires from the East part of #Scotland . A beautiful valley - forgotten by humans. Just an old chapel and a dying graveyard. Hmm... can actually a place who supposed to bury dead bodies be dying? Philosophical question.  I wanted to achieve a semi-abstract effect. Some parts of the work had to be as representative of the style as possible in not typical realistic painting. And some features had to be expressive-abstraction.  I am happy with the result. I will make another painting with the same image but less figurative and paint it on a bigger canvas with oil.  This painting is for sale, and the price could be discussed with the person who wants it.  It is a middle-size painting: 62cm x 46 cm (24x19)

Portraits with a touch of imagination.

Image
Portraits with a touch of surreal, imaginative aspects, sometimes dark, funny or light and always mysterious. It is the way a painted image of somebody should be created. We all have secret spots in our souls, aren't we? Maybe I am wrong. I don't know. Perhaps just an exact image as in the photograph should satisfy a few and be accepted as good enough. Maybe for some. But not for me. I want to paint the person in their imaginary cosmos, and I love the impenetrable story around the character. Here are some examples of portraits in different styles: super realistic, imaginative, surreal, fantastic. You, as a customer, have the last word; however, I will try to persuade you to allow me to surprise you with my imagination.

The escape from the loony bin of life!

My devotion to Pinocchio is not a secret. I have always loved the character from the book by Carlo Collodi, I loved Disney's Pinocchio, I love the Russian Pinocchio and I love my two Pinocchio toys. They have travelled with me around the world; they are very old and wise. Made in Russia, they came from Russia to me. They are old, probably 50 and 45 years old. They are aging, one of them has lost his hair, and unfortunately also his nose. Since I was introduced to Pinocchio's character I have always been painting and drawing this wonderful marionette.  Pinocchio willy-nilly was becoming a hero of my work. My first portrait of Pinocchio I made in oil on canvas;  very expressionistic, with fat, large strokes of brush paint.  It is kind of a dark painting. The next was lighter, brighter, finer, with spell of impressionistic touch.  The series Return of Peter Pan also has a Pinocchio theme. Two brothers sitting close to each other and talking. Pinocchio's Br...
